Purpose: Identify effective response mechanisms adopted by authorities and social partners, measuring their impact on workers in vulnerable situations, and highlighting the factors contributing to their success.
Action: We analysed the mechanisms and measures implemented by governments, employers’ organisations, workers’ organisations, and other relevant entities to support workers in vulnerable situations, specifically, women post the COVID-19 lockdown in India. The study underlined areas for improvement to strengthen these support mechanisms and ensure enhanced protection to vulnerable workers in the future.
